Its first successful development, Kingsford Hillview Peake, was with land acquired from a government land sale in 2012. The project achieved a resounding rapid sellout. By end 2013, Kingsford Development surprised market watchers by acquiring two land sites at Upper Serangoon and developed it into the 1165 units mega project – Kingsford Waterbay. To date, the project is also completely sold.

The optimism about the long term prospects of the local property market was the main reason the company set up operations in Singapore. Cui Zhengfeng, the chairman of Kingsford Development, generally feels that there is great potential about the Singapore property market in the long term due to Singapore’s land scarcity, first class systems and good governance.

Kingsford Development was established in 2000 by Hong Kong-based Kingsford Investment Co. Ltd. and is part of the Kingsford Group of Companies. Besides real estate development, Kingsford is also involved in property management and manufacturing.
